In a small community outside Playa Larga, we’ll visit an art school that teaches some of Cuba’s most promising aspiring and talented artists from the countryside, young adults from disadvantaged or troubled homes, and at-risk youth who enjoy art.

The Korimakao Cultural Project is a boarding school for post-high school-aged students and young adults focused on developing music, dance, theater, poetry, and more skills. Located in the community of Pálpite, in Cuba’s largest, most sparsely populated region, the academy draws in students from across the country. We’ll meet the students, teachers, and supporters that bring this incredible project to life and learn more about their goals of bringing the arts to every corner of Cuba.
